Terms of Service

The rules for using SilentFinance.
Warning:

Draft — pending legal review

These terms are a draft and will be reviewed before public launch. They are not legal advice.

What SilentFinance is

SilentFinance is a tool for recording and understanding your own finances. It is not a bank, payment service, broker, investment adviser, tax filing service or accounting system, and nothing in it is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Figures are calculated from the information you enter; estimates and projections are labelled as such and are not guarantees.

Your account

  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Use a real email address, so you can confirm it and recover your account.
  • Don't enter other people's financial information without their permission.

Your data

Your records belong to you. You can export them or delete your account at any time. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle them.

Acceptable use

Don't try to access other people's data, disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or use it for anything unlawful.

Availability

We work to keep SilentFinance available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of anything important — exports make that easy.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
